What Does Your Natural Hair Eat?

Do you know that you Natural Hair should actually eat almost the same thing you eat? I don’t mean what you eat affects your hair (which is also true), I mean that your hair literally feeds on some nutritious food you eat also.

I remember one time, when a guy overheard me saying I put mayonnaise, honey, olive oil, etc, on my hair. He asked if my hair was bread, which I intended to use these ingredients to eat.

On a serious note, you can find most of the food below in your fridge or closet. It would do you good to not only throw some in your mouth, but on your hair also. Read and understand what they can do for your hair. This will just be a summary, as we cannot exhaust the properties of these foods and what makes them beneficial for hair maintenance.

Black Tea: Used as a rinse. It reduces shedding and adds shine.

Castor Oil: It promotes hair growth by strengthening the hair

Eggs: Used as deep conditioner. It promotes shiny hair and strengthens the hair

Sweet Almond Oil: It promotes hair growth by strengthening the hair
