I think hair typing is what the individual makes it. I found it was helpful in my understanding the characteristics of MY hair so that I could better care for it and achieve the lengths that I have right now. It never once made me jealous of another hair type. Some people make it a divisive tool but it doesn’t have to be. Your experiences with anything in life are what you give them permission to be. Hair typing doesn’t have to be a bad thing if you don’t want it to be.
