Combing dry brittle curly hair can be challenging and causes breakage. My homemade spritz recipe will make styling hair easier, hydrate your curls, and stimulate you hair follicles.

Water is the key element for moisture but is not enough for easy combing. Applying too much conditioner on a daily basis will cause build up clogging the hair follicles. This recipe can be used to restore the daily moisture your hair lacks. I suggest finger combing your hair first to remove tangles and knots before using a comb.

Homemade Spritz Recipe:

A 8 oz spray bottle
3 tbsp Rich Conditioner (Made for Dry, Damaged, Brittle Hair)
2 tbsp Olive, Avocado or Castor Oil
Warm Water (Distilled)
10 drops of essential oil (optional) such as rosemary or peppermint oil.

Instruction:

  1. Pour 8 oz  of distilled water in a small bowl.
  2. Mix in 3 tbsp of conditioner,  2 tbsp of oil,  and 10 drops of essential oil.
  3. Stir until well mixed.
  4. Pour into 8 oz spay bottle.

  1. The conditioner…is it a leave in or wash out? I'm assuming it would be a Leave-in but I read another recipe that uses shampoo! So just wanted to be clear x

  2. Also, If my hair is straightened with a flat iron, and I want to curl my hair and use this to hold my curls in place , will this make my hair frizzy (or naturally curly, as if I have just washed it ?) Please email me the answer at l.missj@hotmail.com. Thanks (:
